This journal was handmade (entirely) by Lyle as a gift for Mike. Mike plans on documenting all of their living history exploits in it. The cover is deerskin. (The glasses were also a gift from Lyle. They are genuine antique reading glasses.)

The presentation of the Journal to Mike.

This is a photo from tha annual Farmer/Ross spring "Let's-call-it-fishing-but-we're-really-just-sitting-around-all-weekend-having-a-good-time" trip. The Farmers' and Ross' have been running together like the James & Younger gang since about 1964. That's Bob Farmer on the left, our brother Jerry in the center and Big Mike on the right.

Mike's son Andy and his first northern.

(Minnesota)

Jerry with a Dandy walleye.

(Ontario - I think)

Mike's brother-in-law Randy with a most interesting deer. After we dressed the animal, we noticed the the pedicle of the antler was actually pointed downward suggesting this animal at one time had a skull fracture. As we tried to remove the skull cap to mount the antlers, it simply fell apart as if nothing was holding it together.

(Northern Minnesota)

Mike with some deer from '98.
